Rechelle Hawkes - Former Hockeyroos captain Rechelle Hawkes is the second Australian woman (after Dawn Fraser) to win gold medals in three separate Olympic Games. Rechelle tells Nat how Australia’s disappointing result in the men’s field hockey semi-finals in Los Angeles inspired her to reach for gold in Seoul, and again in Atlanta and Sydney. Rechelle also talks about her once-in-a-lifetime experience as the athletes’ oath reader in 2000, and the moment she decided to ‘throw in the hockey stick’ in front of thousands of fans and over 100 fellow Aussie Olympians.
