I almost titled this episode: The Secret Lives of Case Managers. I tried for a while to become one and it almost felt like a secret society! The right handshake, gets you in!! Seriously, Case Management is a Nursing field, which will ONLY become MORE needed as healthcare becomes less centralized in the hospitals and clinics, and more complicated. Patients and healthcare providers will need an accurate connection of the clear reality of the patient, families, needs, and providers. The patients will need a GPS locater Nurse to guide them through the maze of doctors, facilities, tests and more, while they simply focus on healing, rest and calmness. My Guest is Deanna Cooper Gillingham, a wonderful expert on all things Case Management. She will share her insights into the art and science as well as how to enter and advance in the field. One unique aspect Deanna manages is a Case Managers Cruise: March 28 - April 4, 2020. To learn all about that, go to CaseManagersCruise.com
