This show touches close to my passion for making Nursing the greatest profession of all. In every one of over 100 shows I have hoped to encourage, yet challenge each nurse to strive for their best. In my professional experience, it has only been the past 20 years that I have encountered day-to-day interactions with nurses of color, because each location was primarily white. As I have journeyed through life, read books illuminating the reality & learning from my friends of color, I have been forced to address my own white privilege. In doing that, realizing how different my perceptions of the world are from professionals of color, I believe it is my duty as a human being to rectify my ignorance by learning to interact with every person in a way that upholds their knowledge, passions & perceptions, as well as my own.
