We live in a world of rhythm. In ancient times, humans moved to the rhythms of nature, they created art, dancing and music that mimicked the sounds of the body. As we have modernized those rhythms, we have gotten lost in the cacophony of our lives: city, traffic, building, plane noises. Yet, our bodies, especially in illness, CRAVE the sounds of nature and healing. When my chronic pain began to become overwhelming in the '80's, I would become so anxious I couldn't sleep. I couldn't even rest. One day I bought a 5 spot CD player and music that I thought might be soothing. It was. It allowed me to lay down and be absorbed into the gentle rhythms and beats of the heart. My guest discovered the music research of Niels Eje during a similar period in her life of discord around the mental health issues in her family. The music was called MusiCure. My guest is Anne Taylor, nurse, mother and conduit to this amazing healing music through her business: Scandic health.com. Join us!
