Nurses International: Growing Nurses! - a podcast by Leanne Meier, BSN, RN

A much overused word in our language is inspiring and Miriam Chickering is certainly that. I think she has made such a huge impact in my life, because she personifies the person I always dreamed of becoming--someone who makes a difference in the world in a head-spinning way. Miriam started Nurses International.org about 5 short years ago, with herself and a handful of volunteers, with the mission of educating people in low resource countries as nurses. Not just a handful, but a WHOLE lot of them--enough to staff a country! And not to her specifications alone, but in collaboration with each country--listening to what they saw as their needs and desires and matching with her volunteers to create the online reality! It was only November 19, 2018 that I first had her on the show and in such a few months she has continued to grow the volunteers, countries and potential nurses.
