Talking 'Death' and 'Life' with Parents and Patients! - a podcast by Leanne Meier, BSN, RN

:: ::

Fun, fascinating and very helpful conversation with Jolene Hill from Australia about talking to patients and family members about what they want for their death (beyond Advance Directives) and also getting fun conversations going about their life Story. Everyone has one, but how often do we lament at the funeral that no one ever captured our loved ones story in some permanent fashion? Jolene is an upbeat, thoughtful person, who learned from her husband's death that people truly need help with these sometimes difficult discussions. Most people are familiar and comfortable with a deck of cards. She developed two sets of cards with one question on each to help ask and learn these important wishes, facts and stories from our loved ones. One set, called Your Life Wishes: 50 Conversation Starters, helps approach those end-of-life questions. The other, Your Life Story: 50 Conversation Starters, makes talking about our history and that of friends, family and patients easy and fun! Join us!
