We all know Nursing is changing by the minute, but did you know Nursing is the first and only profession to offer professional board certification in coaching? My Guests today, Lyn McCright is among the pioneers in this emerging profession. Teresa Walding is a Director and Faculty for the program and Amy Hoeschler, is a student and my connection point to meeting the other two. Graduates of the 60-hour CE program can sit for National Board Certification through the American Holistic Nurses Certification Corporation. (AHNCC.org) (RN's must have a BSN or above and have 2 years of experience). The NIH has done a research survey of Certified Nurse Coaches (from all 5 Nurse Coach CE programs) stating that Nurse Practitioners may be ideally suited for the role.
