We have talked a lot in the past year about less than stellar conditions in Nurses places of work, including Bullying, Burnout, and lack of support for one another. What we have not addressed is Work Place Violence. It is hard for me to believe how widespread this reality is for a lot of reasons. This is one of those issues that if Nurses are given a voice in finding a solution (or many solutions), I believe that nurses can meet that challenge. The big question: Do we walk away or stay and change it ? My guests today have done a LOT of thinking on this issue. Donna Zankowski, has come to this issue through her role as Occupational Health nurse. Patt Moon-Updike, represented nurses in front of a Congressional Committee addressing her own experience of violence at work and the impact it has on her and other nurses. Listen to her Report on https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=413735352769290 or here on Monday at 12 N CT. Please call in thoughts, comments & experiences 866-472-5792
