Davide Morri (Player- CUSB La Fotta and Team Italy Open and Coach - Team Italy U24 Open) - a podcast by Theo Wan

Davide Morri is a player-coach for CUSB La Fotta, the defending European club champions and the head coach of the U24 Team Italy teams since 2013. As the coach of the U24 open team, he has helped Italy win a silver medal in 2018 and a bronze medal in 2019. He has played for Italy’s open team 4 times at the World Ultimate and Guts Championships and won the MVP award in the open division in 2012. Davide is also the technical director of the CUSB program including the defending women’s European club champions, CUSB Shout.

In this interview, Davide talks about the rise and growth of the Italian junior’s ultimate program and his experience as the coach and technical director for the CUSB program. We had a chance to discuss coaching tactics and we did a deep dive into the memorable final between Italy and USA at the World U24 Ultimate Championships in 2018 where Italy had a halftime lead on USA.
