Erin Daly (Player - Team Canada) - a podcast by Theo Wan

Erin Daly has been a fixture in the Canadian ultimate scene representing Canada at the World Championships of Beach Ultimate in 2015, and 2017, playing with Banana Cutters (Vancouver B.C) at the World Ultimate Club Championships in 2018, and winning a Canadian Ultimate Championships Silver Medal in the mixed division in 2019. Erin was selected to be a member of the Team Canada mixed team that was set to compete at the 2020 World Ultimate and Guts Championships that was postponed due to COVID-19.

In this interview, Erin shares about capitalizing on the various playing opportunities she has received from all over Canada, which has helped her reach her goal of being on the national team. Along with the opportunities, Erin discusses the challenges of being away from other ultimate hotbeds and fitting into different ultimate teams and systems. We also have an opportunity to talk about what ultimate is like on the East Coast and the growth of youth ultimate in Newfoundland and Labrador.
