Nico Müller was Ultiworld’s 2019 European Male Player of the Year, 9-time German national champion with Bad Skid, and captain of the Germany open national team. Nico started playing with the German national team in the U17 division and he won a European youth championship in 2011. He has finished second at the European Ultimate Club Finals in 2017 with Bad Skid, and second at the European Ultimate Championships with Team Germany. In 2017, he played with the University of Massachusetts Zoo Disc leading them to a semifinal appearance at the USA Ultimate College Championships. With Boston Ironside, he helped the team finish 5th at the 2017 USA Ultimate National Championships.




In this interview, Nico shares about his growth on the national team in Germany starting with his experience on the German U17 national team. He also shares about the success of Bad Skid and their focus on building local homegrown talent. We also had a cool opportunity to share about the mindset you need as an underdog and how Germany has preparing for ultimate’s return.
