Children and Pornography at School!
"The most important insight is that the first person to talk to kids about sex honestly, is the person that kids will believe. Our children have lots of influences, their parents should be the first and most important influence in the childhood!"

Fr. John discusses the threat of porn with Fr. Sean Kilcawley, the Director of the Office of Family Life for the Diocese of Lincoln, Nebraska, a nationally recognized speaker on Theology of the Body, Human Love and pornography addiction.  Fr. Sean will address how to talk about good pictures and bad pictures that your little children might see at school. The average age for first exposure to pornography is from 9-11 years old, although younger children are also exposed. It is important to tell children the truth in an age appropriate way. Fr. Sean has great advice in that regard. One book he highly recommends for little kids is "Good Pictures, Bad Pictures" which can be obtained at Amazon or at St. Mark Parish office, 2727 W. Tangerine Rd. Oro Valley, AZ.

Fr. Sean was ordained a priest in 2005 for the Diocese of Lincoln.  In 2013 Fr. Sean completed a License in Sacred Theology at the John Paul II Institute for Marriage and Family Studies in Rome. Fr. Kilcawley speaks around our nation to both Catholics and other faith communities that seek to restore the integrity of families affected by pornography by providing education and resources to individuals, spouses, parents and clergy in order to both heal and prevent wounds inflicted by the sexualized culture. Fr. John Arnold attended one of the week long seminars lead by Fr. Sean and Dr. Todd Bowman, Ph.D of Wesleyan University and invited him to Tucson.
