We are confined – time & space
Then God spoke to man –

Truth & desires through many prophets
The message:
You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. (7) Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. (8) But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Rom 5:6-8 NIV
God Sent a Messenger to Us
"For those who live in Jerusalem, and their rulers, recognizing neither Him nor the utterances of the prophets which are read every Sabbath, fulfilled these by condemning Him. Act 13:27 NASB
God’s message is a Person
That Person is Jesus Christ
All of the OT scriptures & prophets pointed to Him
Messiah – someone prepared and sent with a purpose
Specific purpose – to save you from your sins
God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, (2) has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; Heb 1:1-2 NKJV
God Knows the Misery of Sin in Us
"And though they found no ground for putting Him to death, they asked Pilate that He be executed. (29) "When they had carried out all that was written concerning Him, they took Him down from the cross and laid Him in a tomb. Act 13:28-29 NASB
God’s Messenger – innocent, perfect – executed as a criminal
People didn’t want God’s message or Messenger
He was the true Light
There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. John 1:9-11 NASB
People getting the Person of Christ wrong
