The Right Person at the Right Time(Galatians 4:4-5)
Greatest Event in History
Galatians 4:4-5 NASB
(4) But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, (5) so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons
The Perfect Time
Perfect time spiritually – spiritual hunger, Romans
Perfect time culturally – universal language
Perfect time politically – Pax Romana – Roman Roads
The Perfect Person – Sent by God
Galatians 4:4 NASB
But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son…

???????????; Exapostelló - to send out, or commission
Pre-existed with the Father – John 17:24; Isaiah 9:6
"I proceeded forth and came from God…He sent me" John 8:42
"I have come down from Heaven" John 6:38
The Perfect Person – The Son of God
Galatians 4:4 NASB
But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son…
Mystery of incarnation
"Great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh" 1 Timothy 3:16"I proceeded forth and came from God…He sent me" John 8:42
Son of God (singular) = Deity – Jesus Christ is God
Same nature as God
Equal with God (John 5:18)
Did not become God – He always was God.

Son of God = Deity – Jesus Christ is God in the flesh – He became man

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… 14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. 18 No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.
John 1:1; 14; 18 NASB
The Perfect Person – Surrendered to God
Galatians 4:4-5 NASB
(4) But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, (5) so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

Born under the Law
Confined to the womb of a woman
Our redemption required:
He had to be God – for sacrifice to have infinite value
He had to be a Man – requirement of substitution
He had to be a Jewish man – under the Law – meeting its requirements
God Sent His Son – A Saviour
Galatians 4:4-5 NASB
(4) But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, (5) so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.
A Saviour not a Santa
Do you know Him? Personally?
Have you been redeemed?
"Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool.
Isaiah 1:18 NASB
