You rest on a finished work
As christians we want to be busy being “about our Father’s business”
Sometimes we also struggle with the old sinful man
We all want to be sanctified and live a holy life

The key to this is not effort, or conviction, or willpower… but surrender
It is finished!
Heb 1:3
When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high

Colossians 3
Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

Ephesians 2:4-9
It is finished! Surrender your works!

Galatians 3
2 This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith? 3 Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?

You have an incorruptible inheritance
In this life we have needs, we have fears and worries about those needs.
Just meeting the basic demands of life can be a challenge.

I think everyone faces trials in general, but as christians we also face specific trials relating to our spiritual adversaries: The flesh, the world and the devil.

Surrender to the riches of God’s glory

Ultimately our greatest need is met in Christ
God is able to meet our daily needs… all the earth is the Lord’s

We need to surrender our worries to God and trust Him to take care of us.
Our natural temptation is to
Take on all the load of life ourselves
Moan and groan about it
