After the destruction of the earth by the flood, there were only three lines He could come from
The sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth - The Israelites are of the line of Shem
Shem's descendant—Abraham (see Genesis 12:3; 22:18) - God says, "Through you and your seed, all the nations of the earth will be blessed."
God promise to Jacob's (see Genesis 28:14) - "Through you and your seed, all the world will be blessed."
David's family was of the tribe of Judah - Jacob's fourth son.
