God’s Purpose for man (woman, children) is Freedom

God’s Method of Freedom is Truth

God’s Revelation of Truth is Jesus Christ

Gods purpose for man is freedom

Bible is a book of freedom (from Genesis to Revelation)
Israel’s sin led to bondage (at least 6 different nations)
The teachers of the law said they were free
The cross speaks of freedom
From the bondage, guilt, the punishment, and the judgement of sin
Freedom begins with salvation, trusting Jesus as your saviour
There can be no freedom without salvation
Jesus said whoever commits sin (is in the habit of practicing sin) is a slave (servant, bondage) of sin
When someone is in the habit of disobeying God (that is not freedom) that is the worst kind of bondage

When someone trusts Christ as his saviour he has freedom
From the guilt, the punishment, and the judgement of sin
To walk with the Lord, in the spirit, overcoming the power of sin
To become all that God wants him to become
To grow, to develop his full potential and become like Jesus Christ
