Why do we run away from pain when it is merely a language. We have been brought up by family, encouraged by teachers, and even warned by friends or co workers to be careful of many situations in life. "Do not touch that", "Be careful around them", "Think about it before you do anything", etc. In every situation, and in a variety of different area in life we are taught to avoid pain at all costs.

Why does this have to be the case? Pain exists to make us stronger. Pain exists to talk to us, and to warn us, or teach us something. If truly the avoidance of pain was taken so literal we as a society would become nothing more than surface level. It would be a situation in daily life where we would refuse to truly allow for real connections. Now, that I mention it, this sounds strangely familiar. We have become a society so focused on the consumption of anything we can find that it will numb and mask the pain.

The more this goes on, the more the pain will grow, sitting trapped inside of you. If we never work through and allow it to release then we will find ourselves more stressed, less energetic, more distance, and less trustworthy. Do not numb yourself, instead feel it. Listen to what the pain is saying, become aware of where you feel the pain originating from, allow it to work through and out of the body, this is true release.

Become one with the language of pain. How we communicate with it is the most important thing.
