Bring The Noise — Peak Hour Winter 2022 - a podcast by Keith a.k.a. K j A M

Party Favorz hasn't dropped a Peak Hour set since October so there was alot of ground to cover since then. I started from December and skipped November altogether because I knew there were a lot of releases (most not worthy as late year releases are seldom stellar) — certainly more songs than the usual 3 - 4 hour set.



I've also been getting into a lot of Breakbeat and Garage House lately but just couldn't make those tracks work in this mix so I had to throw them all out. After creating the first draft of the set on Monday, I waded through the mix to see what worked and what didn't. Then, I waited for new tracks to drop on Friday to ensure this set was timely. While this episode predominantly relies on Tech House and House Music, I managed to throw in a couple of Indie tracks I'm really digging that are floating under the radar in the larger DJ community. It's those kind of discoveries that sets Party Favorz apart from everyone else. We provide a literal reading of "digging in the crates."



In fact, curation accounts for half the amount of time that goes into making these sets. It's not just throwing in tracks that all the other DJs are spinning (even though there is a certain element to that) but discovering great songs that no one else is playing making these sets unique and one of a kind.



After all was said and done, I kept this set tight and just under 3 hours, which nowadays is a record for me. 'Bring the Noise' is all about the flow with lots of overlays to transition from one song to the next without ever knowing what hit you.
