This has been quite possibly the longest two weeks of my life.  I’ve been working non-stop on getting everything moved back over to Blogger.  That wasn’t supposed to be difficult, but Podbean doesn’t allow you to save your site as an XML file to upload with another service.  So, I had to go back and painstakingly re-add everything one by one.  The good news is, that during the process, I moved all the cue files over to Google’s new “Site” page, which replaced their “Page Creator” service from last year.  For everyone that’s been digging in my crates and wanted the associated cue file, they’re now available.  I want to give a shout out to my buddy Ian in the UK for sending the lost ones over to me.  Your help and friendship has been invaluable and meant a great deal to me.

So what’s changed?  Aside from the obvious, I tried to make the site more streamlined, less cluttered with faster page loads and easier to navigate, while providing your answers to questions in the FAQ section, which has been expanded.  Probably one of the most frequent questions I get is “ How come I can no longer download when I signed up for the premium service last month?”  In most cases, that’s because your debit/credit card on file with PayPal has expired.  Oops, upside the head…LOL!  Actually, it happened to me at the end of February.  All you have to do is go back and update your new card information with PayPal and you’re back in business.

Another change I made was to the structure of the posts.  You’ll notice that I narrowed the width of the main section of the site, which in turn made the posts appear longer than they really are.  So, I added a “download after the jump” link to the end of each post.  When you click on that, it will take you to the full page with the tracklist, mp3 player and the download button.  Ultimately, I see Blogger implementing a sitemap section at the bottom of each page that will allow you to view and quickly access all the posts over a period of time.  It appears to be already set up that way and will be a matter of time before they roll that out.

I realize that several of you are probably having conniptions due to the lack of new podcasts and may not be happy that I’m posting something from the early days of this site.  Rest assured, I’m sitting on a pile of brand-spanking new songs that I will be going through this weekend.  I just wanted to post something to let everyone know I’m still in it and hopefully after you listen to this set, I’ll put a big ole grin on your face.  This particular Funky Edition is one of my all-time favorites.  I seldom go back and listen to my old sets, but thanks to Rick, when he’s feeling the need for a boost, he always digs into my CDs and pulls this mix out.  Being that virtually no one ever downloaded this set and/or mixes from the early days, I thought I would go ahead and share the love with everyone.  In fact, I’ve been listening to a lot of the old stuff I created when I first started the site in 2007 and thought I might go ahead and put one of these out a month for everyone’s enjoyment.

While patience is a virtue that I don’t particularly ascribe to, all I can say is hang on to your seat folks, the next several weeks are going to be a fun and thrilling ride!  I’ll be posting the long-overdue T-Dance Edition (SWEET!!!), the next BPM, a couple of Diva Series, the Millennium and capping May off with Gay Days!  While the scheduling is always subject to change, I’ve got it pretty much all mapped out.  I’ll begin the roll-out sometime next week.  I hope everyone has a super-fabulous weekend.  I’ll be back next week with the official grand opening of Party Favorz 4.0.  As if you don’t already know what to do, I’ll say it anyway . . . . . ENJOY
