Top Dance Songs of 2012 Vol. 2 - a podcast by Keith a.k.a. K j A M

Volume 2 of Time Capsule 2012 has many of my favorite songs of the year. P!nk, Eva Simmons and Sander Van Doorn feat. Mayaeni had my favorite heartbreak songs. Love, anger and doomed relationships seemed to be at the top of my radar this year LOL.



However, the brilliant Zedd, Avicii and Porter Robinson equally enthralled us with their mastery and hook-laden songs. In fact, you couldn’t escape Levels and that amazing Etta James hook as it was being blasted just about everywhere you go (and I’m still not sick of it).



Of course, Rihanna kept dropping the hits while Katy Perry’s sophomore album was like the gift that kept on giving. I particularly want to thank Calvin Harris for taking Florence + the Machine’s “Spectrum” and breathing life into it.



Perhaps the one artist this year who deserves much praise is Sia. Her writing skills combined with that amazing voice further proves that you can’t cover something up with glam and makeup and hope it sells; it’s all about talent and damn that girl’s got IT! From dance floors to radio Titanium was masterfully conceived from start to finish and definitely belongs in the aforementioned category of favorites about love, anger, and doomed relationships. Dying to see where she takes it in 2013 (album please).
