Welcome to the 2K13 Time Capsule Edition, where I attempt to recap the year’s best EDM and squeeze it into four volumes.



Not always an easy task as certain songs may be overlooked or didn’t make the cut, while others may question the inclusion of others.



While it’s impossible for the Beatport and Billboard dance charts to not have some influence on my choices, at the end of the day I rely on my own personal tastes, what I know folks are feeling and by fan comments on other sites to compile the list. It’s all subjective and could be easily argued up or down depending on one’s personal preferences.



While Gangnam Style made the cut last year, you better believe Ylvis’ The Fox did not for obvious reasons. While one really was fun and catchy the other was just plain stupid and frankly annoying. It pained me to even include it on Jingle Electric a few weeks back.



It’s getting late and I’m cranky (i.e. pissed) after blowing $30 on a movie, popcorn, coke, and M&Ms that I didn’t even get to see (complicated). So, I’m just gonna let it go for now. I’ll be working a couple of hours tomorrow but should have the majority of the day off so I’m planning on uploading v2 of this set for your listening pleasure. Be sure to stay tuned.
