I was picking up the speaker for an event, Ms. Thelma Wells, at the airport. I positioned myself at the bottom of the escalator, so I wouldn't miss her. As I scanned each person to find Ms. Wells, I noticed a young woman. I knew immediately she was a Christian. There was something about her that made her stand out in the crowd of people hurrying to get their luggage. She was much younger than our speaker, so I kept looking.

When she got off the escalator she approached me and asked if I was looking for Thelma Wells. I told her I was. She introduced herself and explained, "She's my mom. She came down the elevator instead of the escalator."

I didn't know her daughter was traveling with her, but I knew this lady knew Jesus.

During that weekend, I had the privilege of spending some special time with this young woman and what I saw what exactly right. She was a woman of God!

There are some people that almost seem to shine,
but Moses really shined... I mean literally shined...so bright that he put a veil over his face.

Paul is referring to that specific story of Moses in Exodus 34:10-35 when he writes 2 Corinthians 3.

I always thought Moses covered his face because the bright light bothered the Israelites, but Paul shares a different reason for the veil.

7Now if the ministry of death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with such glory that the Israelites could not gaze at the face of Moses because of its fleeting glory,
8will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious?
Did you see that?
Paul isn't telling us this story to brag on Moses' shining face, he is using that glorious moment to point us to an even more glorious ministry.
9For if the ministry of condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry of righteousness!
10Indeed, what was once glorious has no glory now in comparison to the glory that surpasses it.
11For if what was fading away came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which endures!
12Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold.

We get it!
We understand that Moses face shined because he had been with Almighty God on the mountain top. Yet we have a more glorious ministry. The ministry of righteousness, one with glory that does not fade. When we believe on Jesus, God removes the veil that keeps us from understanding, that keeps us from experiencing the glory of God. He removes the veil that keeps us from reflecting the glory of God.
Reflecting the glory of God isn't just for special people. It's not just for "SPIRITUAL PEOPLE." Look at 2 Corinthians 3:18

18And we, who with unveiled faces
all reflect the glory of the Lord,
are being transformed into His image
with intensifying glory,
which comes from the Lord,
who is the Spirit.

Who is that glory for?
Since the unveiled faces only comes when we believe on Jesus Christ, then the all in this verse is "All believers!!!!!"
I get so excited when I see a sunrise creeping into view. It is absolutely breathtaking, but it doesn't hold a candle to experiencing the Presence of God and knowing Jesus...there no comparison!!! No comparison!!!
Knowing Jesus is too wonderful to keep it to yourself. We, all believers need to shine. You know that.

We all know we should reflect His glory!
..that we should shine for Jesus...we've sung it since our nursery days in Sunday School. "This little light of mine. I'm gonna let it shine."
Yet, we scratch our heads and wonder. HOW???
Can I really do it?
Do I have the ability?
Do I have the courage?
Can I really make a difference?

I'm so glad you asked
...because God put some answers to that question in His love letter to you.
I see two more ways (You know I've been talking about this a lot lately. Answered prayer is one way and if you missed that one, please go back and listen to it.) in Scripture that you can shine for Jesus.
