Especially as we advance into the harvest of God's promises, the word of the Lord reminds us that it's often "the little foxes that spoil the vineyard" (Song of Songs 2:15).  Scripture also warns us that sin crouches at our door (Genesis 4:7), even as Satan hungers for our souls (1 Peter 5:8), that he might "sift us like wheat" (Luke 22:31).  But to His faithful ones in all these situations God promises to grant the grace, guidance, & strength needed for us to overcome.
