UK-based Arm is the most important chip company that doesn't make any chips. It produces low-power, high-performance chip architectures that it licenses to other vendors. Customers include Apple, Samsung, and Qualcomm so Arm chips are found in most of the mobile phones we use in the US. And the company is just getting started. At CES 2019, I spoke with CEO Simon Segars for the latest episode of Fast Forward. He discussed the company's unique approach, its role in the move to 5G, and how secure the Internet of Things really is. You can find past episodes of Fast Forward on PCMag.com or on Apple Podcasts.
