The therapeutic landscape of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) continues to expand rapidly with the addition of novel multi-targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) and immune checkpoint inhibitor therapies. The long-term data supporting the efficacy of dual checkpoint blockade, together with further follow-up reported for established immunotherapy-TKI partners, as well as new efficacious combinations, has increased the number of treatment choices in the frontline setting of advanced RCC.
