Episode Summary:

In this episode of Personal Development Mastery, I share with you a snippet from my conversation with Mitzi Perdue, author of the book "Mark Victor Hansen Relentless," which tells the incredible story of Mark Victor Hansen and the creation of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. This inspiring story showcases the tenacity and persistence it took for the book to become the milestone that it is, having sold over 500 million copies worldwide.

We discuss the initial struggles of Mark and Jack Canfield, from the disapproval of their title to the numerous rejections they received from publishers. Despite these setbacks, they persevered, and eventually found a publisher willing to take a chance on their book. However, the initial sales were disappointing, and it seemed as though the book would be a failure. But through determination, relentless marketing, and the decision to give away copies of the book, they eventually sold over a million copies in just a year and a half. This inspiring story serves as a reminder to never give up too early, as success could be just one step away.
