This podcast is a part of our Giving Tuesday series and today we talked with Angie Kolehmainen from the Baraga County Shelter Home. 


Their work is providing services and hope for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and related forms of abuse along a journey of healing, with priorities of safety and empowerment. They believe, listen, and respect survivors and provide support, information, counseling, and advocacy to overcome the negative effects of violence, empowering them to take steps towards achieving safety and self-sufficiency for themselves and their families. They also do important work towards achieving their mission of eliminating domestic and sexual violence through social and systems change. Donations are being accepted through December 1st.
