47. Doctors know best... or do they?: Sarah Beck & Linda Hazzard - a podcast by Pink Collar Pod

This week we bring you two MEDICAL crimes. Rachel tells the story of the arrest of Sarah Beck. It started with a checkup for her sick toddler. After the doctor saw he had a fever over 105, Sarah was told to take him to the ER. She refused, fearing she would get in trouble because her son wasn’t vaccinated. There was a standoff with the police and DCS that ended with a SWAT team breaking into the home.

Nathalie tells the story of Linda Hazzard, the infamous starvation doctor. She was able to practice medicine by taking advantage of a loophole in the system. She opened a sanatorium where she treated her patients with fasting. Weirdly enough, starving people didn’t work and her patients started to die. Linda found herself in hot water after two wealthy sisters suffered a gruesome fate while in her care.
