You can’t pick your family, but you CAN pick your poison. This week we bring you two cases of women who poisoned their family members. Nathalie starts off with a case from Jerrell’s hometown in Alabama. Audrey Marie Hilley was married with two children. She had a spending habit, a cheating habit, and, to make matters more interesting, a poison-your-family-members-and-escape-from-jail habit.
Next, Rachel takes us back to the 1600s with the case of Marie-Madeleine d’Aubray. Marie came from a high status family and found herself in trouble when her father disapproved of her affair. Marie’s lover really liked to gamble and she soon found herself broke. Marie decided she would kill two birds with one stone. Literally. Marie would murder her father with poison and inherit his wealth to fund her lover’s gambling habit. The money didn’t last long and Marie would have to look for her next victim.
