On August 23rd, 2021, the owners of Crumb Together bakery in Eugene, Oregon posted a sign saying, “Because of the unvaccinated, masks required again. Thank you for your support”. After going “mini viral”, their bakery started to receive hundreds of harassing calls and #maskholes attempting to bully Deidre Stirpe and her husband.
In early November, two individuals later identified as Amy Verlee Hall and Ricki Collin, entered the bakery WITHOUT masks, knowing full well they would be asked to leave. They recorded themselves engaging in an altercation with Deidre and eventually leaving the store.
When the cops arrived they showed the video of their protest, fully expecting Deidre to get arrested. Instead, they were charged with assault. Listen now as we breakdown the video and discuss the rights of small businesses during the pandemic.
