Ruth 1:1-6, Deuteronomy 23:3-6  There was a great famine in the land that Elimelech was living in with his family. Because of this situation, Elimelech made the quick decision to move his family out of this land and dwell in Moab. He moved his family to an accursed place. Later on, Elimelech and his two sons had died, leaving Naomi and her in-laws.  When things aren’t working the way we expect them to be, we may move from the Lord’s feet and rely on ourselves that can lead to disaster. Naomi wanted to return to her homeland as she heard that the Lord had visited his people and blessed them with good crops. The presence of the Lord is always in action especially when we call out to Him. When we move from the presence of the Lord, we may think we are fine, but space for disaster is made. When we are in the presence of the Lord he will ALWAYS visit us.
