In order for a church to thrive, prayer must be a priority. Prayer has a place within God’s church. Prayer has been the bedrock that successful people live on, however some only pray when it is convenient for them or when they are in distress. When things in life are going well, we tend to glorify our own abilities rather than giving glory to God. Man is not immune to challenges or affliction so it is important that prayer be our hallmark. To be able to excel and prosper in 2020, we must pray constantly. Prayer shows that you trust and believe in the Lord. It is an invitation for God to take over. When you pray, you are recognizing your weakness and acknowledging the power and sovereignty of God. Prayer is work. It is not for those who are lazy. You must be the first to wake up and last to go to sleep in prayer. Prayer is power, it develops character and allows us to grow in God’s grace. We will win every battle if we lift our hands in prayer!
