Diane Phillips sang with her family from a young age, and loved to perform. After touring with Up With People and performing for years, she realized it was important for her to help others with music and that she had been missing the root of music, which is joy. So, she taught groups like Kids of Note (KidsofNote.com) and The Notations in Saskatoon, Canada that include children with and without disabilities. She says, "Singing can be used for connecting and creating space for everyone and anyone." She says people can learn to hear with their whole body and that "music helps you understand that everyone has a part to play because of who they are."
