This week Prime Minister Scott Morrison gave a speech to the Business Council of Australia in which he seemed to edge closer to committing Australia to meet a net zero emissions by 2050 goal.
The government has committed $500 million to developing renewable energy, including controversial carbon capture and storage technology.
But it still faces international pressure for more action, pressure which is expected to ramp up this week at the virtual greenhouse summit headed by US President Joe Biden.
