This year's federal budget was due to be announced on the 12th of May. Like most other aspects of life over the past six months, it was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic
Last night, the government finally announced they will deliver tax cuts to 11.5 million workers in a $17.8 billion plan to jolt the economy out of recession using personal tax cuts, business investment incentives, and a new subsidy for companies that hire the unemployed.
In this episode, national editor Tory Maguire is joined by chief political correspondent David Crowe and senior economics correspondent Shane Wright to dissect the long-awaited budget.
