Prime Minister Scott Morrison broke down in a press conference yesterday in reaction to the treatment of women in parliament house.
The Prime Minister spoke after Ten News reported a group of Coalition government staffers exchanged pictures and videos of sex acts performed in APH, including one that depicted a man performing a lewd act on the desk of a female MP.
He acknowledged the Liberal Party’s refusal to adopt gender quotas was not working in its efforts to recruit more women into parliament and flagged that he’s now very open to the idea of introducing them.
In this episode, Tory Maguire and political reporter Katina Curtis discuss the mood in Canberra and the continued harassment of women in parliament.
