Pense em moda e você provavelmente pensa em mulheres magérrimas, saltos stiletto, supermodelos estereotipadas. ⁣

Sim! Mas há alguma verdade nas palavras freqüentemente mencionadas: “As mulheres estão fazendo compras.” A moda é alimentada pelas mulheres: gastamos, em média, três vezes o que os homens gastam. ⁣

O problema é exatamente esse: consumimos mais e não somos no mundo, nem 50% de cargos de chefia na indústria da moda - somos exatamente 14%. E aqui no Brasil.... chamamos a Audrey que tem sua marca autoral ASHANTI, galgando os espaços que nos são fechados de várias maneiras. ⁣

The importance of black representation in the fashion

Think of fashion and you probably think of skinny women, stiletto heels, stereotyped supermodels. ⁣ ⁣ Yes! But there is some truth to the words often mentioned: "Women are shopping." Fashion is fueled by women: we spend, on average, three times what men spend. ⁣ ⁣ The problem is exactly this: we consume more and we are not in the world, nor 50% of leadership positions in the fashion industry - we are exactly 14%. And here in Brazil ... we call Audrey, who has her authorial mark ASHANTI, climbing the spaces that are closed to us in various ways.
