Celina Toth began diving at the age of 12 after retiring from gymnastics. Her transition from one sport to the next occurred in only a handful of days as she quickly found herself at the pool five days a week.

A national team member for the last decade, Celina won her first international medal in 2015 when she finished 3rd in the 10m at the FINA Grand Prix in Madrid. Since then, the Ontario native contributed to qualifying a second Rio 2016 Olympic berth for the Canada, and more recently, Celina won her first International event in Germany.

In this athlete interview, Celina opens up about her experience as an athlete in a judging sport: battling with body image, mental health issues, and seeking support from external sources as well as internal reflecting and self improvement techniques. Join Kendra and Celina as they discuss openly and honestly about mental health difficulties associated with being a high performance athlete as well as every day life struggles with self image.
