Just The Stuff That Jesus Said: Episode 3 - The Law, Anger, Lust, Adultery and Divorce - a podcast by Kenneth E. Crump

This week's Mainstream Evangelical Podcast is a continuation of our series called, Just the Stuff that Jesus Said. We will be looking at Matthew 5:17-26 which covers subjects such as how the Old Testament law relates to the New Testament and what Jesus’ role was regarding the law. We will talk about how Jesus brought balance to the distorted message of the Pharisees on the right and the false teaching of the Sadducees on the left.

Then we will examine what Jesus said about anger, how is the root cause of murder, how our relationship with God and others is more important than religious acts, and how to free ourselves from anger, hate, and bitterness.

Finally, we will look at lust, how to overcome it, and the appropriate cause for divorce. We also will examine the appropriate way to interpret the scriptures on cutting off one’s hand or gouging out one’s eyes and how they relate to lust, adultery, and divorce.
