Elohim’s names communicates a message to His people. Biblical names are given to establish authority over another, or to indicate a new beginning or new direction in a person’s life.

Names are linked with identity. Your identity is not just who you are currently, but who you are called to be. When you are born, you were given an identity through your name. A name helps differentiate you from others. Likewise Elohim’s names reveal His identity (personality, character, originality, distinctiveness, differentness, singularity, uniqueness). His names ‘put upon us’ are meant to manifest His identity in our lives.
