Today’s world is hazardous for Christians, as symbolic serpents dwell in the midst of lands we walk in. Many unsuspecting people have stepped on and been bitten by serpents in their career, finances, family, health and children. Some even lose their livelihood, reputation and blessings due to poisonous snake bite. Why does God ask us to look at the bronze serpent on a pole when you are bitten by problems in your life?

You are going to look at your problem, despite its menacing appearance, and you are going to speak death to your problem. As many times as your problem rears its ugly snake head to terrorize you, you are going to rebuke your problem and remind it that it is dead.

Bible references verses:

Num 21:6-9, ESV 6 Then the Lord sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people, so that many people of Israel died. 7 And the people came to Moses and said, “We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord and against you. Pray to the Lord, that he take away the serpents from us.” So Moses prayed for the people. 8 And the Lord said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent and set it on a pole, and everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live.” 9 So Moses made a bronze serpent and set it on a pole. And if a serpent bit anyone, he would look at the bronze serpent and live.

Rev 1:18, NIV 18 I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.

Exod 7:11-12, NKJV 11 But Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers; so the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments. 12 For every man threw down his rod, and they became serpents. But Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods.
