As the new year kicked off, the D1 Council of the NCAA was scheduled to vote on the new pending regulations around Name Image and Likeness (NIL), as well as the Transfer Portal rule changes on Monday, Jan. 11, 2021.  These votes were postponed, indefinitely, following guidance from NCAA President Mark Emmert regarding a letter he received from the U.S. Department of Justice about potential antitrust violations. From an antitrust perspective, the US Supreme Court will be hearing oral arguments in NCAA v. Alston later this spring. In this episode Luke focuses on some of the pending changes coming to college sports.
