JUJU as a mobile entity has lived within many residences. But few of the venues shared the distinct flavor of "The Inglewood Clubhouse." The title is in quotes because that wasn't the actual name of the venue-I just called it that! This venue was actually a dual level auto shop that sat across the street from a DMV office in the heart of the 'Wood. This set contains some broken-beat, jazzy rhythms and features a wide range of my favorite artists such as Amerie, beats by producers such as J-Dilla, IG Culture, and Platinum Pied Pipers (Triple P), and carries with it poignant reminders of our most recently departed. Phife from A Tribe Called Quest is in this mix as well as Triple P paying homage in a banger that features the genius of the recently passed Maurice White of Earth, Wind & Fire. The microphone was broken that night which accounts for the low hum on occasion at the end so this is a straight music set. Here's a classic LAST CALL mix recorded live at JUJU in 2005. Enjoy!
