We sat down, drank PSL (cause obvi 🎃), & discussed all her different jobs, how she started in her sewing career, how she found her first sewing job, learning to sew, traveling for trainings, learning the machines ins & outs, discovering a passion for it, her love of reading which led to starting a book club, her love of connecting to people, how covid pushed her into pursuing her own business of merging her passion of sewing w/books, making face masks during covid for hospitals/etc., creating videos on how to make face masks, working in retail for over 10 yrs in small & big companies, how it was scary starting her own business, how her company chooses a book of the month & creates a sewing project/craft to go along with it, zoom meet ups, different sewing arts like textiles, embroidery, etc., our Hot Topic days, fandoms, being a sewist, her love of quilting, what quilting is, what a bobbin is, how she offers education/lessons of sewing for all ages/machines, her love of learning the machines and it’s mechanics, projects she has worked on/in progress on, cosplay/costume making, building her supplies store, her knowledge and tips about buying a machine & taking the training, having 6 machines, how being a manager has helped her teach different learning styles, bringing back the importance of sewing, women empowerment, her experiences of working at Box Lunch & Starbucks, the creative environment of each one, customer service, her Celeb ONCE story, balancing 3 jobs, having a purpose in the work you do, building a community of positive creative people, her love of connecting w/people, and her advice for anyone watching/listening!!
