Ian Cairns is the original power surfer, surf coach, entrepreneur and co-founder of World of Waves TV Show and Surfing.com. Growing up surfing in Western Australia provided Ian 'Kanga' Cairns as a 13 year old with the perfect training ground for the huge waves in Hawaii where he moved in the early 70's.  Ian formed the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP), the first ever rule book and the foundation of the global surfing tour which became the WSL. Kangas love of coaching saw him win titles with the US Surf Team and he won a world title with Sean Poynter in SUP.

Food for thought:

  • There's a home in surfing for misfits
  • Anything you dream is possible. You’ve gotta get off your ass and go for it
  • It's much more important to do things that has a positive social impact than it is to talk about them on Instagram

Enjoy and get rad!
