Ocean Film Festival, 'I Am Ocean' - a podcast by RRR - Triple R

It’s a long weekend in Victoria, which means it’s ocean festival season! Bron and Dr Beach check out the Ocean Film Festival, one of its short films ‘I am Ocean’ about Melbourne’s mermaid PT Hirschfield, a great partnership that unites snorkellers and anglers, and the Lorne Biennale sculpture festival:

• Each year the Ocean Film Festival grows from strength to strength. It’s about to kick off, and this year the festival offers more than 2 hours of inspirational, educational and entertaining films related to the ocean from independent Australian and International filmmakers. We’ll speak with Festival Director Jemima Robinson about the 2022 Ocean Film Festival, and where it’s going to screen near you.

• Then, one of the featured short films is ‘I am Ocean’, a beautiful offering by filmmaker Sam Reilly about Melbourne mermaid PT Hirschfield, and how the ocean became a literal lifesaving gamechanger for her. We’ll speak with both PT and Sam about ‘I Am Ocean’.
