Season 2, Episode 8

Hey! I'm back with a 3 part episode where I discuss Bridgerton (specifically representation and how much I recommend the show), White American Monolithic Culture (Does it exist? Respectfully why or why not and how I think that's interesting) and Fashion Nowadays ( The way clothes are marketed and how trends changing so fast might impact our identity). I forgot to mention body padding but basically some models who are are "too big" for "regular" modelling but "too small" for plus size modelling may be asked to wear padding to appear bigger which might explain how the majority of plus-size models appear to maintain their sharp jawlines and bbl/hourglass bodies. Of course, there are naturally plus size hourglass-shaped models just as there are naturally skinny models. It doesn't change the fact that there are insidious methods done to get the look and shape we often see done and the often even the clothes that aren't accessories are pinned in the back and look horrible in person, hence the body of the model is really then being sold. Clothes that are not on a model and are flat on the ground will most like be most accurate but truthfully will not always gain the views/clicks.
