LThanda: Episode 59 - Explicit NSFW GTAIV - WARNING!! - a podcast by David Palay and Andy Low

This episode contains both highly explicit language (Andy felt that we should spend an episode earning our explicit tag on iTunes) and spoilers. If you don't want to hear about GTA IV, then I suggest skipping about the first... 1/2 of the episode. Also, everyone can skip the last 3 minutes or so. We actually finished early on this one, so there's just some... filler, I guess. Anyway, another successful Episode down.

I have been spending the last few days playing with GTA IV, and I think I'm about ready to give my rating on the gameplay, although perhaps not on the story. (I feel that the two are wholly separate entities and must be considered as such). The gameplay is ... mediocre. Good, but not "GREAT". Indeed, not even "great". The controls are not intuitive, as my rag-doll of a body repeatedly rolling out of a car moving at upwards of 80-100 mph shows, although they are not difficult to learn. I would perhaps like to see a bit more in the training phase before moving you into the real stuff, but I think that one is just me. I have not yet attempted the multiplayer (wow, Firefox isn't recognizing multiplayer as a word...) and will therefore withhold judgment on that aspect of the game. One thing ... I now have this desire to speak with a bit of an Eastern-European-Former-Soviet accent.
