This weeks shows would prove to be landmark episodes of both Monday Night Raw and Monday Nitro. On the WCW side, the very first Sting vs Hulk Hogan match would air for free in the Nitro main event. Sting and Hulk Hogan would later break WCW PPV records, but here on Nitro we got to see the Hogan vs Sting match for the very first time. Over on WWF Raw, Shawn Michaels' push to the WWF championship would begin when Shawn collapses in the ring. Shawn has a match with Owen Hart, and when Owen hits an enziguri on Michaels, Shawn collapses and Raw goes off the air.
